Purpose of award: To encourage the development of young musicians.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be current residents of the state of California and are required to prepare and perform a piano or string piece for competition. The category alternates between piano and string each year. The maximum level in school is a senior in high school.
Target applicant: Junior high students or younger
High school students
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $1,000-$2,500.
Number of awards: 4.
Deadline: December 17.
