Purpose of award: To honor college students who distinguish themselves in their understanding of Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be full-time college students who submit a 1,000-1,200 word essay which will be judged on both style and content, with an emphasis on writing that is clear, articulate and logically organized. Winning essays must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of Atlas Shrugged.
